The Goth family has been with us ever since the good days of the Sims. We were there to see Cassandra grow up and Alexander come along. We also attempted too many times to figure out the truth behind Bella’s disappearance. But with the release of Seasons, we were given a similar family, the Roths. It was like looking in the mirror realm of the Goth’s home. So which family catches the eyes of simmers everywhere? We want you to vote, but first, a little backround knowledge on the two families.
When the Goth family first came into view for us, they were 2D and it was just Mortimer, Bella, and Cassandra. Once we had moved along to our 3D view of Sims, they came with us. Except… some things were different. Bella was gone! And there was a new child in the home, Cassandra’s brother Alexander. But what happened to Bella? Is she on tv now? Traveling the world in a hot air balloon? Or was she upducted by aliens and taken to Strangetown? Where is Bella?
We have Mortimer, a retired Mad Scientist who yearns to learn. Then there is shy Cassandra who just wants true love, and Alexander, who is pretty much there for you to mold and make into what you wish of him. With Mortimer’s fling with Dina and Cassandra’s thing for Don, the family has had quite some drama! And we’ve been there for so much of it. So much of it, that we are almost positive we will be seeing them in the Sims 3 as well. However, many do not like the Goths. Do this simmers take any interest in the Roths? How much do we know about the Roths?
With the release of the Seasons EP, we were given a new neighborhood to sim in, Riverblossom Hills. In this neighborhood came several pre-made families. The Roths were one of these such families. Morty, the man of the house, is a Relic Liberator. What's he got on Mortimer? About 10 years... as he is much younger, in fact, he's probably the age Mortimer was back in The Sims. Morty is an adventurer, far from the scientist that Mortimer was. Morty's wife, Stella is a Yearbook Club Supervisor. She loves to meet new people and see new things. Stella is a bit restless in the community of Riverblossom Hills as it's not really her nature, but Morty has a great job and the kids are doing wonderfully in school.
Speaking of the kids, we have Sandra and Xander. Sandra is loud and boisterous; and on the search for true love. She works a part time, after school job as a file clerk. Her younger brother, Xander just wants to follow in his fathers footsteps and be an adventurer. Both of the children are excelling in private school.
